Hot Fudge Topping
Ingredients:
- ½ cup Granulated Sugar
- ¼ cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1 tsp Kosher Salt
- 1 cup Prairie Farms Heavy Whipping Cream
- 2 tbsp Light Corn Syrup
- 3 oz Bittersweet Chocolate chopped
- 2 tbsp Prairie Farms Unsalted Butter
- 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
- 2 tbsp Water
- Prairie Farms Small Batch Premium Vanilla Ice Cream for serving
Directions:
- In a small pot, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Add heavy cream and corn syrup, whisk until smooth. Add chopped chocolate.
- Add pot to a stove over medium-high heat. Stir until the mixture comes to a boil.
- Reduce temperature to medium-low so the mixture is a vigorous simmer. Simmer until the mixture splits, this could take about 10 minutes.
- Remove the pot from heat and add to a medium-sized bowl. Add butter, water, and vanilla. Whisk until the mixture comes back together and is smooth and glossy.
- Serve warm over Vanilla Ice Cream. Store in a jar in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
