Jalapeno Fiesta Taco Salad
Ingredients:
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1/2 Cup Yellow Onion, minced
- 1/4 Cup Prairie Farms Jalapeno Fiesta Dip
- 1/2 tsp Cumin, ground
- 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper, ground
- 1 tsp Chili Powder
- Salt & Pepper, to taste
Toppings
- 1 head Iceberg Lettuce, washed and chopped
- 1 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 1 Cup Tomatoes, Diced
- 1/2 Cup Jalapenos, Pickled or Fresh, sliced
- 1 bag Tortilla Chips
Garnish
- 1 16oz Prairie Farms Sour Cream
- 3-4 sprigs Cilantro, Fresh chopped
- Jar Pre-made Salsa
Directions:
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add ground beef and onions. Cook for about 7 to 10 minutes, or until well browned and edges start to crisp.
- Turn heat down to low, drain excess grease, then stir in spices, and lastly the Jalapeno Fiesta Dip. Blend well. Simmer an additional 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Assemble taco salads by layering on a plate or a deep bowl tortilla chips, lettuce, and spoonfuls of prepared taco meat.
- Top with shredded cheese, sprinkles of diced tomatoes and Jalapeno slices as desired.
- Garnish with sour cream, and fresh chopped cilantro, and/or prepared salsa. Enjoy!
