Our iconic French Onion Dip is a perfect match for these smashed potatoes that are crispy on the outside but soft on the inside, making it the ideal appetizer for any gathering.

Prepare a large baking sheet pan by lining with parchment paper. Set aside. Preheat oven to 425ºF.
Fill a large pot with water and generously salt. Add the potatoes (start with cold water to ensure even cooking). Bring the water to a boil, and boil for 10-15 minutes until potatoes are tender. A fork should easily be able to pierce the potatoes. Remove from heat, then drain water.
Add the boiled potatoes to a large bowl, then add melted butter and spices. Toss to coat potatoes completely.
Add potatoes to prepared sheet pan. Use a potato masher, flatten each potato, leaving about a ½-inch of space between each potato.
Add to oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, until crispy on the outside. Remove from oven and serve with Prairie Farms French Onion Dip. Enjoy!
